CC752S Yellow Brass Casting – CuZn37Pb2-C EN 1982
CC752S (EN 1982 / CuZn37Pb2-C) is the higher-zinc yellow brass casting grade in the EN 1982 series, with nominally 60% copper and 37% zinc. Equivalent to US C85400, CC752S is used for decorative hardware, architectural fittings, plumbing trim, and general commercial castings where the slightly lower copper content compared to CC750S provides a cost advantage and the application does not require the corrosion resistance of red brass. CC752S is particularly popular for pressure die casting of thin-wall decorative components.
Alloy Overview
CC752S (Cu 57–63%, Zn ~37%, Pb 1.3–2.5%) has a slightly lower copper content than CC750S, giving marginally higher zinc and a more cost-effective alloy with equivalent castability, appearance, and machinability. The alpha-beta duplex microstructure at this zinc level provides good die-fill in pressure die casting and reliable dimensional repeatability. Suitable for plating, polishing, and lacquering.
