Furan resin-bonded sand moulds are used, with C87300 melt poured at 1050-1100 deg C. Sand casting supports component weights from 0.05 kg to over 200 kg, making it ideal for valve bodies, large marine hardware, pump housings, architectural elements, and earthing system hardware. Dimensional tolerances CT7-CT9, surface finish Ra 6.3-12.5 um. Lead times 1-2 weeks from existing patterns.

Ceramic shell mould (8-12 dip layers) is filled with C87300 at 1060-1100 deg C. Achieves CT4-CT5 tolerances (plus or minus 0.15 mm on critical dimensions) and Ra 1.6-3.2 um surface finish. C87300 low silicon content produces fine-grained microstructure capturing textures as fine as 0.1 mm, ideal for artistic bronzes and precision marine hardware.

C87300 Silicon Bronze Green Sand Casting

C87300 Silicon Bronze Green Sand Casting uses clay-bonded green sand moulds for fastest turnaround and lowest tooling cost. Suitable for medium-weight components where tight tolerances are not critical, and for high-volume production of standard hardware shapes that will be CNC machined. Tolerances CT8-CT10, surface finish Ra 12.5-25 um. Most cost-effective for large-volume standard hardware in C87300.

C87300 Silicon Bronze Permanent Mold Casting

C87300 Silicon Bronze Permanent Mold Casting (gravity die casting) uses reusable steel or cast iron dies preheated to 200-250 deg C. The rapid chilling effect produces finer grain structure and higher mechanical properties than sand casting, with excellent dimensional repeatability (CT5-CT7). Ideal for medium-complexity components in quantities of 500-50,000 pieces. Die life typically 10,000-50,000 shots for C87300.
