C95700 Bronze Casting
C95700 Bronze Casting – CDA 957 | Manganese Nickel Aluminum Bronze | CuAl11Fe6Ni6 | CC335G
C95700 (UNS C95700, CDA 957, EN 1982 CC335G, DIN 1714 CuAl11Fe6Ni6) is the highest-strength aluminum bronze casting alloy in the ASTM B148 specification family. With 10.5–12.0% aluminium, 5.0–7.0% iron, 5.0–7.0% nickel, and 1.5–3.0% manganese, C95700 achieves a minimum tensile strength of 750 MPa – approaching the range of medium-carbon steel – while retaining the corrosion resistance and non-magnetic character that define the aluminum bronze family. Electrical Accessories India manufactures C95700 castings for aerospace structural applications, heavy marine hardware, defence components, and high-load bearing assemblies where maximum strength-to-weight ratio is required.
Product Overview
Alloy Composition and Metallurgy
C95700 is a quaternary Cu-Al-Fe-Ni-Mn alloy where the combined effect of high aluminium (up to 12%), elevated iron (up to 7%), significant nickel (up to 7%), and manganese (up to 3%) produces a complex microstructure of alpha, beta, and multiple kappa-phase intermetallics. This microstructure delivers hardness values of 200–250 HB and tensile strengths exceeding 750 MPa in the as-cast condition, with further improvement possible through quench annealing heat treatment. The alloy remains non-magnetic at all temperatures, making it valuable for minesweeper hull fittings, sonar housings, and compass binnacle components where magnetic neutrality is essential. C95700 also demonstrates excellent resistance to erosion-corrosion, making it suitable for high-velocity liquid applications such as seawater injection pump casings and hydraulic manifold bodies.

Applications
C95700 is specified for the most demanding strength-critical applications in the copper alloy casting range. In aerospace and defence, it is used for hydraulic manifold blocks, structural bracket castings, landing gear components, and sonar dome fittings. In heavy marine, C95700 is used for large controllable-pitch propeller (CPP) hub bodies, stern tube bushings, and rudder stock bearings. Industrial applications include heavy-duty worm wheel blanks, large gear castings, bearing housings for steel mill rolling equipment, and hydraulic cylinder end caps. The alloy’s combination of high hardness and corrosion resistance makes it uniquely suited to wear-intensive corrosion environments such as paper mill digesters, chemical processing pump components, and mine pit dewatering equipment.
